My Life Plus brings life cover and funeral cover together in one plan, making it easy to understand and easy to put in place. There are no medicals and no lifestyle questions — a straightforward way to protect the people who depend on you.
Who you can cover
- The policyholder — a South African citizen aged 18 to 65
- A spouse, aged 18 to 65
- Up to 5 of your own, adopted or step children under the age of 23

My Life Plus offers four plans, combining life cover with funeral cover:

What's included
Funeral benefit
Funeral cover paid to your nominated beneficiary within 48 hours to help with immediate expenses.
Terminal illness benefit
If the life assured is diagnosed with a terminal illness, the benefit can be paid early (subject to terms and a waiting period).
Burial repatriation
Transport of the deceased to the funeral home nearest the place of burial, with provision for a family member to accompany.
Premium waiver
If the policyholder passes away, all covered lives stay protected for 24 months with no premiums due.
Continuation option
After the waiver period, a covered person aged 18 to 65 can take over the policy without new waiting periods.
Waiting periods
A waiting period applies to death from natural causes, while accidental death is covered after your first premium. Exact waiting periods and full terms are confirmed at application.
